Who would be your biggest influence in fighting?

The person that influenced me most was my late, great trainer, Master Dana Goodson. Dana created many champions back in the day. I used to train along the likes of Sam Greco, Stan "The Man" Longinidis and Lester Ellis when he was preparing for his World Title. Dana was one of the World'’s classiest, most sought after trainer. I am only too proud to now be training Dana's son, Aaron Goodson.

What made you want to start Powerplay?

It has always been a dream to open my own gym where I could train and produce quality fighters and give back to the sport because it had given me so much over the years. So after searching for the right location and 3-4 months of hard work, Powerplay was born. It has become so much more than what I was initially expecting. We have people of all ages and fitness levels coming together to train, it really creates a warm atmosphere and is an absolute pleasure & delight to walk in to everyday.

Where do you see yourself going from here?

Onwards and upwards. The sky is not even the limit. We have big plans install for both Powerplay Gym & Promotions, it is exciting just thinking about it. However, I don’t want to reveal too much too soon, you’re just going to have to keep an eye on this site to see what’s around the corner...
