The doors open, you walk in only to be greeted by our friendly staff. If we don’t know your name yet, you have not been coming here often enough!

As you walk through our doors, consider the hardest part of your training session already over. You have done your part, you turned up, leave the rest in our capable hands.

The birth of Powerplay was back in September, 2005, star sign being a Libra.

Head of Powerplay Gym and Promotions is Joe Nader. A former Australian and South Pacific Cruiser Weight Champion. Joe has trained with the best including the late great Dana Goodson and World Champions such as Stan 'The Man' Longinidis and Sam Greco. With his experience and knowledge of the fight game, Joe decided to put all his hard earned years into action developing the concept of Powerplay Promotions. It was then having inspected many of Australia’s Gyms that Joe decided that he had to provide a Gym that allowed fighters to come together and train in an environment that suited their needs.

With every passing year, there has been not only some memorable birthday parties but more importantly it boasts some impressive developments and events.

Powerplay Promotions held its first show ‘Round 1’ back in December, 2006 and was held at the Croxton Park Hotel in Thornbury. The Promotions has grown to a high standard in only 3 short years.

Powerplay Gym has grown from a handful of Fighters to a full time gym. Currently we offer classes for mixed and female only every night of the week. Stay tuned to this site as we are in preparation of adding classes to cater more to the public’s needs.

Whether it’s fitness and kickboxing classes you’re after or strengthening and weights, or maybe some Personal Training, Powerplay offers all.
